Requirements for starting and stopping sealless self-priming pumps
Before installing a sealless self-priming pump, check for loose fasteners and foreign objects blocking the pump flow path to prevent damage to the impeller and pump body during operation. During installation, avoid adding weight to the pump pipes to prevent deformation. Tighten the anchor bolts during installation to prevent excessive vibration during startup, which could affect the pump's performance. For ease of maintenance and safety, install a regulating valve on each pump's inlet and outlet pipes and a pressure gauge at the pump outlet to ensure operation within the specified head and flow range, extending the pump's lifespan. After installation, rotate the pump shaft. The impeller should not rub or seize. If not, disassemble the pump and investigate the cause.
